Raghav Shreyas (1973 – 2008) was a photographer, art-critic, writer and musician based out of Bangalore.

  • 2007 – July : The Invisible Town 
    • An exhibition of photographs of the old Bangalore jail, at Time and Space Art Gallery, Bangalore.
  • 2004 – January : Photographs of the Old Bangalore Central Jail
    • A selection from these photographs was exhibited at the Central Jail by the BATF (Bangalore Agenda Task Force), a special unit set up by the State Government.
  • 2002 – March : Cityscapes
    •  A group show –curated by Suresh Jayaram (Art Historian) at The Shankara Foundation.
  • 2002 – April
    • Cityscapes traveled to Sumukha Art Gallery, a well-known gallery in Bangalore.
  • 2000: Beladide Nodu Bengalura
    • “Look how Bangalore has grown” –a show curated by Janaki Nair, well-known historian.

  • 2002 Mid-June and July
    • Video Filming and interviews of well-known Southern Indian Artists, for the Walsh Gallery, Chicago.
  • 2002 October
    • Khoj International Artists’Workshop, held in Southern India for the first time. Photography documentation for the catalogue of the camp.

  • 1999 : Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, School of Visual Arts.
    • A talk on The Story of the Bauhaus (an art school in Germany that shaped much of 20th century art, design and technology).

  • 1998 June : Workshop with German photographer Thomas Luttge.
    • A five-day workshop exploring spaces and the body in space.

Art Co-ordination

  • 2002 : Raghav  Shreyas coordinated a seminar –”Does Photography have a language of its own?” for the Khoj International Artists’ Workshop.
    • The seminar proposal was prepared by well-known critic Dr. Hans Varghese Mathews. The other speakers included well-known critics of art in India.


  • 2005 October 18th: Rotary Bangalore Southwest honoured him for his Excellence in the field of Arts-Music, Literature,Photography, Painting.
